Book 1 in the Witches of Echo Park series

MY REVIEW: I have really mixed feelings about this one. Writing wise...it was average. Nothing special, but nothing horrible either. Same character wise and plot wise.
My main issue is...not much actually happened in it. We get introduced to the characters and learn about the world and then...it ends. Literally, it's like a prologue to the actual story. Like one really long-winded narrator going "this is what happened before all the other stuff and now our story." only to end just as you get to the story. That was...kind of annoying to be honest. I get that you want people to read the next one but at least have plot stuff actually happen in the book.
So...,it's not a bad book. But...it's not the greatest either. So...I don't really know how I feel about it other then...meh.
